The small town of Zell am See has around 9,900 inhabitants and was a market village until 1928; It has been a town for less than 100 years. Zell’s local landmark mountain is the 2,000 m-high Schmittenhöhe, easily accessible by cable car. Zillertal Arena und Gerlos

The Zillertal Arena, the largest winter sports area in the entire Zillertal valley, is just over an hour form the Mittersill ski area. 143 km of slopes and 52 lifts delight skiers and snowboarders, with 100% snow reliability at up to 2,500 m. The highlight of the ski area is certainly the longest valley slope in Austria. Ski 1,930 altitude meters in one go on your way back into the Zillertal; what an incredible experience! Gerlos in Tyrol is located in the heart of the Zillertal Arena and mainly attracts snowboarders and freestylers with its snow parks. It is ideal for hiking and biking in summer.

Saalbach Hinterglemm

There is a first-class ski area awaiting you near Mittersill. Saalbach Hinterglemm allows you direct access to one of the largest connected ski areas in Austria. Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn boasts 270 km of varied slopes, connected by 70 cable cars and lifts, and lives up to its nickname ‘Home of Lässig’ (Home of Cool). Over 60 ski huts await you for a refreshing break before you return with renewed energy to the slopes and parks. There are even some floodlit slopes where you can ski all the way to the valley until 9.30 pm! Weißsee

This small but lovely ski area near Mittersill is famous for its magnificent panorama. The glacier world of Weisssee reaches up to an altitude of 2,600 m, with incomparable views of the surrounding mountains. The 23 km of groomed slopes are especially suitable for family adventures. Accompanied by a great infrastructure of ski schools and ski rentals, the children’s park ‘Kinderland’, and deep snow slopes, there is absolutely no place for boredom on ski and board here!
