Sunny spots & hut magic
Simple ski mountaineering in Salzburg around Mittersill brings together ski paths, diverse forest sections, and some real hut magic. Easy tours to the ski huts of the Pass Thurn – Kitzbühel Alps ski region start at the Breitmoos mountain inn or the parking grounds along the federal road. Arriving at the parking facilities after a five-minute-drive, it’s time to put those skis on, check the equipment, and head off. Why not hike to the popular “Toni Alm” (approx. 45 minutes), the “Pinzga Blick” mountain inn (approx. 1.5 hours) or the very popular “Sonnalm” (approx. 1 to 2 hours)? Upon arrival, secure your place in the sun. The pleasant sensation after exercise is best enjoyed in a sun lounger with a view of the sun-dappled mountain peaks glistening in the snow. The return downhill takes ski paths or perfectly groomed slopes – whatever you fancy – directly to the parking ground.

Ski down across the glistening firn snow with amazing views of the astounding mountain scenery; the true highlight of ski mountaineering in Salzburg around Schloss Mittersill.
