A Royal Treat at Restaurant Schloss Mittersill

Dine like a Royal

The exquisite castle restaurant in Mittersill is spread across various rooms within the historic castle walls. Guests can have their extensive breakfasts in the light-filled “Schreibzimmer” (writing room), in the “Gothisches Zimmer” (Gothic room) with its impressive 12th-century window, or, when the summer temperatures allow, in the courtyard or on the panoramic terrace. The cozy “Kaminzimmer” (fireplace room) or the “Gewölbekeller” (arch cellar) offer culinary specialities while relaxing at an open fire and in comfortable armchairs. They are also the ideal location for a romantic meal for two. If you are looking for an undisturbed atmosphere for a family celebration or special

events for small circles you will certainly find a suitable place amongst one of our eight different castle venue rooms. In fine weather, the castle’s courtyard and the panoramic terrace with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains - from Krimml, Felbertauern to Zell am See - are optimal for outdoor dining. The castle’s kitchen adheres to following idea: "We not only live in one of the most beautiful and diverse regions of the Alps, but also in an exclusive and incomparable gourmet shop". All meals in the hotel restaurant are freshly prepared using local and seasonal produce.

A Castle Breakfast

An excellent day starts with a first-class breakfast at Schloss Mittersill’s restaurant. The extensive, partially served breakfast buffet includes specialties using produce from local farms as well as homemade spreads and jams, a variety of cold cuts and cheeses, and fresh fruit. The high-quality filter coffee from brand “Julius Meinl” and a diverse assortment of tea pave the way for an ideal start to the day. We also offer various dairy products, a healthy Schloss muesli, waffles and pancakes, and eggs prepared to your liking. Available upon pre-order, we will also serve soy milk products, rice milk, lactose and gluten-free products.

Half Board

At Schloss Mittersill’s restaurant we provide an enjoyable experience for all senses, which is why culinary excellence is so important. Head chef Geri Voithofer has found the castle’s kitchen to be his element. Freshly prepared, exquisite culinary delights are prepared there together with sous chef David Breitfuss and the larger team, using regional specialties and the best ingredients that the local area and nature have to offer.

In the evening, a four-course menu awaits you with a choice of two to three different dishes per course, including a vegetarian option. It is a so-called "small à la carte menu". Our chef also will have appropriate dishes on offer for those with particular dietary requirements, such as vegans, vegetarians, persons suffering from allergies, etc.

Á La Carte Dining

Our restaurant kitchen loves to indulge guests - including non-hotel guests - with regional specialties, mostly prepared with local products. You are invited to dine and linger in our historic rooms or the panoramic terrace, as well as the castle’s courtyard with their fascinating views of the Hohe Tauern mountains and the Kitzbühel Alps.

A romantic candlelight dinner, a meal for two or a festive dinner with friends and family? Discover our gourmet menus, and if desired, with guidance towards a compatible wine selection. In order to maximise your culinary experience, our head chef will take your dietary restrictions and allergies into account. You can look forward to typical Pinzgau specialties, which have been creatively modernised and refined, as well as all sorts of delicious and surprising things in castle’s gourmet restaurant!

The Right One: Wine

A culinary experience and special meal are incomplete without compatible drinks, including the right wine. In the Schloss restaurant we serve a handpicked selection of non-alcoholic refreshments, wines from both renowned wineries in Austria as well as around the world, and spirits, which are mainly produced in the region. Our expert staff can help advise you and perfectly match wines to your selected dishes. After dinner, enjoy a "nightcap" in the bar as a delightful conclusion to the evening.
